Statistical Summary of UNHCR RSD
UNHCR received applications from 75,088 individual asylum-seekers in 2007, making it the largest refugee status decision-maker in the world. UNHCR conducts RSD in at least 52 countries, but 90 percent of the applications are received in just 12 countries.
More than half of the countries where UNHCR performs RSD are parties to the 1951 Refugee Convention.
